The previous two Clash of the Kicks were more targetted towards Air Jordans. This time around that battle continues but within the Nike SB department. Both pairs are notorious in their own ways and are ultimately impossible to find in deadstock condition. They sometimes are sold for as much as $600+ a pair! Here are the contenders….
1. The Nike Dunk SB Low - Pro Pigeon is the original Pigeon Dunk. It features a grey / red colorway and is constructed from leather and suede. The tongue is mesh, and a pigeon is featured on the heel of the shoe, hence the name “Pro Pigeon”. There was much anticipatedhype for the release of this shoe, and it definitely lived up to it, and then some. Due to its immense success, Nike has release several other pairs which take inspiration from this particular model.
2. The Nike Dunk SB Low - Tiffany featurea an aqua and cool grey colorway, and were designed by Nick Tershay, the team manager of Diamond Supply, Co. They are part of the Team Manager Series, and were released with the Nike Dunk Low Pro SB - Vapors (vapor / mineral yellow). However, these received much more attention, and were the most highly anticipatedNike Dunk SB perhaps, ever. It is rumored that only 4,000 pairs were produced. They are highly flashy and will turn heads anywhere. Due to its immense success, sneaker companies have released several models which take inspiration from this particular model and mimic its colorway. Here are some examples:
Now this is what you call a DOPE mid shoe.They are slated to release as part of Nike SB’s Spring 2009 collection so unfortunately fanatics will have to wait a while before they can get their hands on a pair.
Nike SB has launch a mini site to provide some nice imagery and information about the series. For this collection, Nike SB has teamed up with three skaters from Brazil allowing them to create their own Dunk based on the cassette player. The shoes are limited to 480 pairs each and have already been released at select Nike SB retailers.
Now available at Proper and other Nike retailers is this pair of Nike Blazer Mid Premiums. They feature a patchwork design on the upper constructed from vibrant, multi-colored nylon along with a leather toe box and nice contrast stitching. The bright colors consist of blue, pink, and orange.
Here we feature recently surfaced pictures of a pair of Nike Dunk Low SB’s, which were supposedly put together by a Nike SB East Coast Representative. They feature simple color scheme consisting of a blue upper along with charcoal inserts, as well as red accents. No word yet as to a specific release date, but they should be hitting Nike SB accounts before the end of the year. via NikeSB.org
